Opening a bank account in Spain when you are a non-resident is very simple. The procedures are broadly similar to those present in France for example. As with any other administrative procedure, you will need some documents. Locabarcelona presents you with a guide, in order to easily open a bank account in Spain.
At first, know that it is impossible to open a Spanish bank account without going to Spain. You must indeed, you move to a Spanish city to be able to make your request. For example, you can go to the cities near the French border or if you come from further afield, take advantage of this approach to discover a particular city.
First, you must be over 18 to open a bank account in Spain. If you are not very comfortable with the Spanish language, we advise you to use an interpreter to facilitate your request.

• Have an NIE number

• A valid ID (passport, ID card …)
• Proof of status or professional activity
• Proof of address (not mandatory but some banks may ask you)
Opening a bank account in Spain is free. Regarding the initial deposit, only one hundred euros is needed. Know that as a non-resident, you must declare your income if they are higher than 6010 €.
